Oats are complex carbohydrates as well as gluten-free whole grain. They are great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. There are many health benefits of eating oats. Generally it is consumed as oats meal or porridge. Today i would like to share with you its different version of very famous Indian dessert called "Kheer"
Ingridents:-
- 1/4 cup Oats
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 2-3 Saffron strands
- 1/4 tsp cardomon powder
- 3 Almonds sliced
- 3 Pistachios sliced
Method:-
Step1
In pan roast 1/4 cup
oats with 1 tsp ghee until oats colour changes to light brown. (appox
1-2 min)
Step 2
Add 1 cup milk and mix
well
Step 3
Simmer it untill oats
soften (appox 5-7 mins).
Step 4
Add 2-3 saffron strands,
1/4 tsp cardomon powder, sliced almond and pistachios. Mix well.
Step 5
Lastly at add 1 tbsp
honey and switch off the flame.
Garnish it with chopped
almonds and pistachios. Oats kheer is ready.
