Oats green cheela

Oats is very healthy and versatile grain. Here I will share with you all recipe of oats cheela or pancake with twist of whole green moong. Adding green moong enhances its taste and nurtritional value too.

Ingredients:-

• 1 cup Oats
• 1/2 cup soaked whole green moong
• 2 Garlic cloves
• 10-12 Curry leaves
• 1/4 cup Coriender leaves
• 1” Ginger
• 3 Green chilies
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/2 Lemon juice
• Salt as per taste
• 1 cup water
• Ghee

Method:-
Step 1
To prepare batter, in mixer jar add garlic, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, cummin seeds, soaked green moong, lemon juice, oats and salt. After that add 1 cup
water to make smooth batter by grinding it.

Step 2
Put non stick tava on medium flame, greese itwith ghee and spread the batter evenly in acircular form to make chella.

Step 3
Allow it to cook untill it edges start leaving tavasurface. Put 2-3 drops of ghee and flip it to cook
other side.

Its ready to serve. Enjoy hot and spicy green oats cheela with green chutney or curd.

Gajjar halwa and custard shots

Gajjar halwa is an India dessert. It is very nutritious and delicious too. Today i will share its recipe with a twist of custard. I had prepared halwa in microwave which is very easy and convenient. 

Ingredients
  • 2 cups gajjar (carrot) shredded
  • 1 cup milk powder 
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/2 tbsp 
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp each cashew nuts, raisins and  chopped almonds (dry fruits)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
Method
Step 1:-


Take a microwaveable glass bowl. Add 1 tbsp of ghee add above mentioned dry fruits to microwave it for 1 mins.
Step 2:-


After then remove all the dry fruits from the melted ghee and keep a side. Then add carrot to ghee and microwave it for 5 mins.
Step 3:-


Add 1 cup of milk powder, 1/2 cup of sugar and mix  well to microwave it for 10-15 mins. After 5 mins check it and mix well.
Step 4:-


Microwave it until the mixture becomes sticky and it will start leaving glass bowl surface. In the end add cardamon powder as well as fried dry fruits. Gajjar halwa or carrot halwa is ready.
Step 5:-
For custard take 1 cup of milk and dissolve 2 tbs custard powder in it. Then add 1 1/2 tbsp of sugar and on slow flame allow it to boil. It is very important to stir the mixture continuously to avoid lumps so will get thick and smooth custard. Maximum cooking time is 5 min.  and lastly allow it to cool.

Step 6:-

To assemble take shot glasses. There will be 1 layer of custard  sandwich between 2 layers of gajjar halwa. First for bottom layer arrange halwa and refrigerate it for 20 mins. Then for middle layer add custard and again refrigerate it for 20 mins. Lastly for top layer add halwa and garnish it with  almond.

Enjoy this yummy dessert with your dear and near ones.

Wheat flour chocochips muffins

The word muffins itself is very tempting  and it is best suited for kids as well as adults also.  As it is Christmas time, I am going to share with you all recipe of Chocochips Muffins made by wheat flour and prepared in Kadhai.


Ingredients:-

1. 1 cup Wheat flour
2. 3/4 cup Caster sugar
3. 1&1/2 tbs coco powder(non sweeten)
4. 1/2 tsp baking powder
5. 1/2 tsp baking soda
6. 6 tbs oil
7. 1 cup milk
8. 1 tbs vinegar 
9. 1 tsp vanilla extract 

Method:-

Step 1

Take a kadhai and add 1 cup of salt, allow it to preheat on slow flame with closed lid.

Meanwhile take a mixing bowl, sieve all the dry ingredients and they are wheat flour, caster sugar, coco powder, baking powder and baking soda properly to avoid lumps.

Step 2

Add oil and vanilla extract to the mixture of dry ingredients. Next gradually add  milk to it and mix it with the help of whisker. Just mix it untill all ingredients combined properly (do not over mix). 

Step 3

Add choco chips and vinegar to give final mix. Cupcake batter is ready.

Step 4

Grease the muffin moulds with oil and put cupcake paper into it. Add batter upto 3/4 level in the moulds and tap it foe two times. Sprinkle some choco chips on it.

Step 5

Allow it to bake in preheated kadhai on slow flame for 15 min. Then run toothpick test whether cupcake are ready or not. If not then wait for 5 more mins. Baking time will be approximately 15 to 20 mins. Allow muffins to cool down and then unmould. ( You can make 8 medium size muffins from these measurements)

Enjoy super healthy and delicious wheat flour choco chips muffins.

Bread Mexican Pakoda

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to share with you a pakoda recipe with a twist of vegetables and bread. So lets have a look to its recipe.

Ingredients:-

1. Bread 5 slice
2. Butter
3. 1 potato
4. 1 Onion
5. 1/2 capsicum
6. 1 tomato
7. 4 tbsp Gram flour ( besan)
8. Salt to taste
9. 1 tsp oregano
10. 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
11. 1/2 tsp pepper powder
12. Oil

Method:-

Step 1:

Fine chopped  all the above mentioned vegetables in a cutter and take them in a mixing bowl.

Step 2:-

For seasoning add oregano, chilli flakes, pepper powder and salt to taste. Mix them thoroughly in chopped vegetables and keep it aside for 10 mins.

Step 3:-

After that add gram flour  to absorb the released water of vegetables. And mix it gently with the hands (do not squeeze it). Pakoda mix is ready.

Step 4:-

 Apply butter on the bread and cut it into four pieces each. Take 1 tbsp of pakoda mix and put it on each bread pieces. Pakoda is ready for deep fry.

Step 5:

Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai. Put the bread slices upside down such that mixture side will be facing the bottom of pan. Fry until it gets golden brown from both sides.

Enjoy  hot and spicy Bread Mexican Pakoda with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Diwali special Kaju katli

Hello everyone,

Word " kaju katli " reminds me about festivals  and many happy moments that I had shared with my dear ones. So I thought let me make your happiness double this Diwali by sharing with you all my  most favourite and very temping recipe of KAJU KATLI.

Ingredients:-

1. 2 cup kaju (cashews)
2. 1 cup sugar
3. 1/2 cup water
4. 2 tbsp ghee



Method:-

Step 1 :-

Make powder of cashews in a grinder. Do not run the grinder too long as cashews has tendency to release oil and it get lumpy. Sieve it to get  smooth cashew powder.

Step 2 :-

Take sugar and water in a pan and allow it to heat on slow flame. After sugar get completely dissolve and starts boiling add cashew powder to it.

Step 3:-

Stir the mixture continuously to avoid lumps. Then add ghee and allow to cook until the mixture starts leaving the sides.

Step 4:-

This is very important and crucial step of the recipe. Take small amount of mixture in a plate. After it cools down to room temperature, try to make its ball. Mixture is ready if you get a non sticky ball. Then turn off the flame. 


Step 5:-

Grease the plate with ghee and spread the mixture so that it temperature reduces.

Step 6:-

Take a butter paper and grease it with ghee. With the greased palm knead warm mixture for 2 to 3 mins  to make crack free dough. Roll it evenly on butter paper. Make desire shape and allow it to cool completely.

Enjoy this sweet with your dear and near ones.

Masala Pav

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for all your encouragement and overwhelming response you all gave to me even though i was on a break. But not to worry from now you will get my regular post. Today i am going to share with you a Masala pav recipe. It is one of the well known and delicious Indian street food. 

Ingredients:-

1. 4 Pavs (Bun)
2. 3 med size finely chopped onion
3. 3 med size finely chopped tomatoes
4. 1 med size finely chopped capsicum
5. 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
6. 3-4 tbsp butter
7. 1 tsp red chilly powder
8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
9.  Salt to taste 
10. 1& 1/2 tbsp pav bahji masala ( powder)
11. 1 med size lemon
12.  handful of Coriander leaves



Method:-

Step 1:-
Take a nonstick pan (can take tawa also) add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt on medium flame.

Step 2:-
Add 1/2 tbsp of garlic paste and saute it until the raw smell goes away.

Step 3:-
Add finely chopped onions and saute it turns translucent and then add finely chopped capsicum, allow it to cook for a min.

Step 4:-
Then add finely chopped tomatoes and salt to taste. Mix it well and allow it to cook for 2-3 min.

Step 5:-
Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and pavbhaji masala. Give it a mix with adding 4-5 tbsp of water (it may vary depends on the water released by vegetables).

Step 6:-
Mash it with the masher and allow it cook until the spices released its aroma.

Step 7:-
Turn off the flame and add lemon juice along with handful of coriander leaves. Hence our masala is ready.

Step 8:-
Take a tawa and keep it on med flame. Add 1 tbsp of butter and some prepared masala, toast slit pav from both the side such that not a single corner of pav remain dry. Finally add some masala on it and garnish it with onions and coriander leaves.

Enjoy hot and spicy masala pav.

Oats Bhel

Oats Bhel is one of the healthiest as well as prefect rescue to small hunger pangs. You can always ditch fried snacks for such healthy ones. I am dedicating this recipe to my tea time friends with whom i used to have fun without loosing my calorie goal.

Ingredients:-

  • 3/4 cup roasted Oats
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 Cucumber (or 1 baby cucumber)
  • 1/2 Carrot
  • 1/2 Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Chat masala
  • 1 1/2 tbs Honey
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3 tbs Corn flakes
  • 1tsp Peanuts
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves

Method:-

Step1
In a mixing bowl add finely chopped vegetables (tomatoes, onion, cucumber, coriander leaves and carrot) and roasted oats.

Step 2
Then add black pepper powder, chat masala, salt, honey, salt and give it a mix.

Step 3
To get crispiness add corn flakes and peanuts.

Mix well and bhel is ready to eat.
