Hello everyone, Happy Makarsankranti to all of you. Chikki is very important part of this festival. There are many varieties of chikki in the market. Today I am here with yummy and crispy recipe of Dryfruit chikki.
1. Almond
2. Walnuts
3. Chest nuts
4. Pistachios
5. Cashews
6. 2& 1/2 tbs Ghee
7. 1 cup sugar
Method
Step 1
Take a non stick pan and add 1 & 1/2 tbs of ghee. Add 2 cups of chopped dry fruits you wanted to use for this recipe. You can vary the individual quantity of dry fruits as per your choice but mixture quantity should remain same ( 2 cups). Roast it for a minute and half.
Step 2
Take another non stick pan add 1 tbs Ghee and add 1 cup of sugar ( here ratio of dry fruits is to sugar is 1:1 in grams but the cups ratio is 2:1 to equal the quantity).
Step 3
We just need to dissolve the sugar without burning it so intially put it on a medium flame for a minute and stir it continuously. Then put the flame on low flame and allow it to dissolve. Approximately it will take 5-8 minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile grease the back side of any steel plate or kitchen surface and rolling pin with oil.
Step 5
Once sugar gets completely dissolved add the roasted dryfruit mixture to it and switch off the flame. And mix it properly so each and every dryfruit get coated with sugar syrup.
Step 6
Immediately transfer entire mixture on smooth greased surface and roll it to make a thin layer for Chikki.
Step 7
While it is warm cut it into to 2 " square pieces using sharp knife. Later when it gets cool down remove the pieces from the surface and enjoy crispy and yummy dryfruit chikki with your dear and near ones.
