Masala Pav

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for all your encouragement and overwhelming response you all gave to me even though i was on a break. But not to worry from now you will get my regular post. Today i am going to share with you a Masala pav recipe. It is one of the well known and delicious Indian street food. 

Ingredients:-

1. 4 Pavs (Bun)
2. 3 med size finely chopped onion
3. 3 med size finely chopped tomatoes
4. 1 med size finely chopped capsicum
5. 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
6. 3-4 tbsp butter
7. 1 tsp red chilly powder
8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
9.  Salt to taste 
10. 1& 1/2 tbsp pav bahji masala ( powder)
11. 1 med size lemon
12.  handful of Coriander leaves



Method:-

Step 1:-
Take a nonstick pan (can take tawa also) add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt on medium flame.

Step 2:-
Add 1/2 tbsp of garlic paste and saute it until the raw smell goes away.

Step 3:-
Add finely chopped onions and saute it turns translucent and then add finely chopped capsicum, allow it to cook for a min.

Step 4:-
Then add finely chopped tomatoes and salt to taste. Mix it well and allow it to cook for 2-3 min.

Step 5:-
Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and pavbhaji masala. Give it a mix with adding 4-5 tbsp of water (it may vary depends on the water released by vegetables).

Step 6:-
Mash it with the masher and allow it cook until the spices released its aroma.

Step 7:-
Turn off the flame and add lemon juice along with handful of coriander leaves. Hence our masala is ready.

Step 8:-
Take a tawa and keep it on med flame. Add 1 tbsp of butter and some prepared masala, toast slit pav from both the side such that not a single corner of pav remain dry. Finally add some masala on it and garnish it with onions and coriander leaves.

Enjoy hot and spicy masala pav.
